With fierce competition from Australia’s highest calibre auctioneers, Demo Realty Bay Central auctioneers Andrew Close and Rafael Mountford made it through the trials to the main event. Rafael, in his first ever Golden Gavel finished runner up in the regional category while Andrew came third in the overall event. It was a wonderful time had by the industry and witnessed by 1,000’s of public passersby. Andrew, for his efforts will now compete in the Australasian event in Auckland in March. We wish him well. At a gala black tie event held by the Real Estate Institute, Demo Realty Bay Central were successful in winning 4 of the 12 main categories.

At a recent gala fundraiser for the Make a Dream Foundation, Demo Realty Auctioneers, Andrew Close, Paul Johnston, James Allmann & Andy Richter were in fine voice plying their craft to the 500 strong crowd.

Much laughter was had by all as they went about extracting embarrassment from willing bidders in their quest to lighen their wallets for this good cause.

For the sake of the public, let’s just hope they continue their successful careers less their on stage antics.
